Folgarida - Pure sun and skiing fun!
The high altitude holiday resort Folgarida is situated in between forests on an altitude of approx. 1,300 m. Ever since the 1960s, it has grown to be one of the most important holiday resorts in Trentino. The lift systems right in Folgarida offer quick access to the ski area and other winter sports resorts such as e.g. Marilleva and Madonna di Campiglio. Like this, all pistes on the various mountains can be used easily. The ice stadion with its ice rink are a good way to spend your leisure time. In the evening, a floodlight piste is available, or you can participate in sportive or cultural events in the congress centre "Alla Sosta dell'Imperatore".
SkiThe "Folgarida-Marilleva" lift pass is valid on 62 km of piste on an altitude between 1,300 to 2,180 m. Apart from mostly easy to intermediate pistes, Folgarida and Marilleva offer a direct connection to the famous Madonna di Campiglio ski area.
The lift pass "SkiArea" gives you access to the neighbouring ski areas, such as e.g. Madonna di Campiglio, Pinzolo, Folgarida-Marilleva, Pejo, Tonale-Ponte di Legno, Andalo-Paganella, Monte Bondone as well as Folgaria-Lavarone (s. Ski Region). In these ski area, the lift pass is valid one day each. All in all, you have access to 380 km of piste, which guarantees diverse days on the piste!
A great highlight is the selection of floodlight pistes in Folgarida, Marilleva and Pejo. All freestylers can look forward to snowparks in the Folgarida-Marilleva area and at Passo Tonale.
Folgarida and Marilleva are charming and rather dreamy ski resorts. Activities after skiing include an ice rink, a tennis hall or the ice sports stadium in Folgarida and in Mazzana. Visits to the slightly larger resort Malé or to the world-famous Madonna die Campiglio are also receommendable. The ski metropolis is approx. 13 km away and can be reached on skis or by car.
Approximately 45 km of prepared trails of all levels of difficulty await in Val di Sole, where cross-country skiing is tradition! In some resorts there even are free practise lessons for beginners. A floodlit trail for sporty evening hours can be found in Rabbi Bagni. Those who want to aim higher should not miss the high altitude trail at Passo Tonale (5 km) on an altitude of almost 1,900! The longest trail is 10 km long and leads through Vermiglio.
