Major cities of the province are just Olbia Tempio and although the main features for these places are known to travel scene is certainly beaches and the Maddalena archipelago.
The province includes the historical region of Gallura (except municipality Viddalba, remained in Province of Sassari), including the northeast coast of Sardinia (including Costa Smeralda) Maddalena Archipelago. Also included in the province north of the historical region of montacuto a small part of the barons and the eastern part of Lake Coghinas.
