Varazze

Varazze is a commune in the province of Savona, Liguria region, located about 30 kilometers west of Genoa. Nearby in the Apennines of Liguria is Monte Beigua, with its natural regional park. The economy is predominantly based on shipyards, yachts and tourism.

The so-called Europ Walk ("Europa Stroll") is a naturalistic route that runs on the former Genoa-Ventimiglia railway (closed in 1970), which connects Varazze with Cogoleto. It passes through the rocky landscape of the Maquis shrub, including the Aleppo pine vegetation, and overlooks a number of small harbors that harbor wildlife.

The church of Sant'Ambrogio has a Romanesque facade and a bell tower in Gothic-Romanesque style, with three molded windows. Inside there is a polypi of Giovanni Barbagelata and a panel of Luca Cambiaso with Madonna and Saint John the Baptist and Francis.
