Petrognano is located in the heart of Tuscany: Florence (reacheable in twenty minutes by car or by train), Arezzo (30 minutes), Siena (60 minutes), and the Chianti Region (30 minutes);

 Sorrounded by nature, on the slopes of Monte Secchieta, our property has a splendid view of the valleys below and of the close Vallombrosa Forest, famous for its thousand year old Abbey, reachable in 15 minutes by car.
The Agriturismo disposes of six apartments, expertly derived from an ancient cottage dating back to the eighteenth century. The style, extremly welcoming, but at the same time refined and detailed, fits in with the landscape, producing an high and seducing acctractivness for our visitors: stone walls, exposed wooden beams, wrought-iron beds and railings, interior and exterior floors in terracotta tiles or pietra serena, all according to the very best of the Tuscan tradition. The cottage is sorrounded by a splendid garden with spaces zoned for barbecue. The panorama is suggestive, typical of the Tuscan hills, with a view of the Valdarno. Available to guests, there is also a tennis court covered with synthetic grass, a pool sorrounded by wide open spaces. Guests may also find our restaurant very close to the apartments and therein benefit from breakfast and dinner, running into our suggestions of the flavors and the aromas of the typical Toscan cuisine.

We are in the heart of the Tuscan countryside: Florence (reachable in 20 minutes by car or train), Arezzo (30 minutes), Siena (60 minutes), Chianti (30 minutes); Grocery store, station 1.5 kilometers (S. Ellero); All kinds of shops in Donnini (3.5 km) or Pontassieve (7 km).

Swimming Pool

At your disposal a 6X12 meters wide swimming pool, stone serena finished and adjacent to the cottage. As to depth, the pool varies between 120 cm and 240 cm and it is reserved esclusively for those who are staying in the agriturism. It is sorrounded by a wide garden underneath the structure and it offers a view of Valdarno. Cypresses, oak trees, acacias shall provide natural shadow during the hot summer days, offering a special framing of the sunsets behind the Chianti hills. The pool is open during the period going from 1/6 to 15/9 and it is not provided with bathers assistance.

Tennis

"Tennis is more than just a sport. It is an art, like the ballet. Or like a performance in the theater. When I step on the court I feel like Anna Pavlova. Or like Adelina Patti. Or like Sarah Bernhardt.I see the footlights in front of me. I hear the whisperings of the audience. I feel an icy shudder. Win or die! Now or never! It's the crisis of my life".

Inside the property there is a new tennis court covered with syntetic grass. It is situated nearby the agriturism, and it is at full disposal of guests. It is open every day, all day long; the entrance is free and reservation is not necessary. If requested, we offer rackets and tennis balls.

Restaurant

Recently renovated, it offers our guests services for dinner and breakfast.
A chance to taste the tipical local recepies, while immersed in the splendour of the Tuscan countryside, among tradition and creativity. The local offers a classy-furnished veranda and a familiar and welcoming atmosphere to eat outdoors in the summer nights.

The culinary path offered in our agriturism, rigorously follows the quality, the territoriality, the seasonality of the products that we use, proposing plates in respect of the Tuscan tradition. Hand made pasta, first quality meats, selected among the local breeders, seasonal vegetables, own-produced sweets and a selection of wine labels will accompany your meals. Abundant buffet breakfast will be offered day by day. Offers for vegetarians and special menus for kids. Booking is required
