Sardinia has an area of 24.090 km ² and a population of 2.65 million. It was called "Ichnusa" The Phoenicians and "Sandalyon" by the Greeks because of its shape, shaped footprint.
Sardinia is a region in Italy. Regional capital is Cagliari. The region is subdivided into four provinces: Cagliari, Sassari, Nuoro and Oristano, have been proposed for another four provinces: Olbia-Tempio, Ogliastra, Carbonia-Iglesias Medio Campidano), which
would be expected during this deca (see also towns Sardinia).
The island contains numerous extraordinary tourist areas including the Costa Smeralda, Costa Paradiso and Gennargentu.
