About Mezzana - presentation, information, photos and recommendations
Mezzana - sun and pure skiing fun!
The mountain village Mezzana lies at a torrent on approx. 940 m altitude and is one of the richest communities in beautiful Trentino. Thanks to the scenery and the close-by ski area, Mezzana has turned into a popular holiday resort. It is surrounded by the Adamello-Presanella-Massif, the Ortler-Cevedale and the Brenta-Dolomites mountain groups. The ski area Val di Sole as well as the Skirama Dolomiti can be reached via the cable car starting in the district Marilleva 900. In this district you can also find Mezzana's sport's centre with e.g. an ice rink and tennis courts.
SkiThe lift pass "Folgarida-Marilleva" is valid for a 62 km of piste between 1,270 and 2,180 m altitude. Next to the mostly easy and intermediate runs, Folgarida and Marilleva also offer a direct piste connection to the famous Madonna di Campiglio. With the "Skirama Dolomiti" lift pass, the bordering ski areas can be used as well. These include the ski areas Madonna di Campiglio, Pinzolo, Folgarida-Marilleva, Pejo, Tonale-Ponte di Legno, Andalo-Paganella, Monte Bondone as well as Folgaria-Lavarone. The lift pass is valid for one day in each in these areas. This makes a total of 380 km of piste that are at your avail and ensure pure skiing fun!
The pretty mountain village Mezzana lies in the midst of impressive mountain massifs. Apart from ensuring a great time on the piste, there are plenty of sporty off-piste activities, such as ice-skating or playing tennis that the sports centre in Mezzana-Marilleva have on offer. Or go and explore the region on snow shoes. Excursions to the slightly bigger resort Malè or to the worldwide known skiing metropolis Madonna di Campiglio are always recommendable as well. Traditional culinary delicacies can be enjoyed in the various restaurants.
Around 55 km of prepared cross-country tracks of all difficulties await guests in the Val di Sole. Cross-country skiing has tradition here, which is why free-of-charge trial sessions are offered in some resorts here. At Rabbi Bagni there is a floodlit track to stay active in the evenings. For a higher experience, the high altitude cross-country track at the Passo Tonale (5 km) on almost 1,900 m altitude is a must! The longest track measures 10 km and leads through Vermiglio.
