Winter Misurina is always covered with much snow, kept in the best conditions of low temperatures: for this reason, the area goes to a tourist resort for ski lovers, who can go skiing in the Auronzo-Misurina area, 25 km from slope on Monte Agudo under Auronzo and Col de Varda. These slopes are only a few km away from Cortina d'Ampezzo.
Near the lake there are about ten hotels with accommodation for about 500 people.
The particular climatic characteristics of the area around the lake make it particularly good for those who have respiratory diseases. Near the lake is the only center in Italy for the care of childhood asthma.
Lake Misurina is the place where fast skating events took place during the Winter Olympics in Cortina d'Ampezzo - last time the fast skating Olympic events took place on natural ice.

Misurina | Lake Misurina is the largest natural lake in Cadore and is 1,754 m above sea level, near Auronzo di Cadore (Belluno). The perimeter of the lake has a length of 2.6 km, while the maximum depth is 5 m.
