About Molveno - presentation, information, photos and recommendations
Molveno - Italian serenity meets dolce vita!
Situated at 864 m is Molveno on the shore of Lake Molveno. Picturesquely nestled between the Paganella Massif and the Brenta Massiv, the resort offers both nature lovers and sports enthusiasts countless opportunities. The majority of the community is located in the Adamello-Brenta Nature Park and is an ideal starting point for snow shoe hikes or horse sleigh rides. Molveno does not have its own pistes, but those looking for action will be right at home 5 km away in the Paganella ski area. Even the US ski team has established its European training centre here. After a lovely winter day, numerous restaurants and bars invite you in for a relaxing end to your day.
SkiWith the "Paganella" lift pass, you have access to 32 kilometres of piste and 18 lifts at an altitude of 1,030 - 2,125 m. The primarily intermediate and easy pistes are ideal for families. In the lower situated sections, the routes run largely through idyllic pine forests and offer lovely piste enjoyment. On the legendary world cup piste "3-Tre", cracks can burn of steam and match up to heroes like Zeno Colò, who wrote sports history here 40 years ago. Or, test yourself on the 5 km long Olympia run, which transcends an altitude difference of 1,075 m. Even the US ski team has established its European training centre here and lets its world up and Europe cup skiers train for combination, Super-G and giant slalom. Also gorgeous are the deep snow areas, which open up at the peak of Paganella. Boarders can run riot in the snowpark "Dosson".
Directly at the edge of Molveno is a cable car, which allows you to reach the 1.5 km long piste there. All other pistes can be reached from 5 km distant Andalo and Fai della Paganella.
The lift pass "Kombi (5+1)" is valid for 5 days on all pistes in the ski area Paganella, as well as 1 day in another ski area of Skirama, such as Folgarida-Marilleva, Madonna di Campiglio, Pinzolo, Passo Tonale, Pejo, Monte Bondone oder Folgaria.
Gourmets will especially get their money's worth with the culinary delicacies offered in Molveno's numerous restaurants. If you're in the mood to dance, head to the "La Voglia" disco-bar. Night owls will also enjoy "Discoteca Shuttle" and "Artcafé la Floca" in neighbouring Andalo.
For everyone else, there are also leisure activities such as snow shoe hikes, horse sleigh rides or volleyball and basketball courts, a gym and climbing wall at Molveno's sports centre.
Nordic fans spending their holiday in Molveno will find a total of 10 of track at neighbouring Andalo, 3 km of which are easier and 5 km more intermediate. With the "Girolago" track, the resort offers a floodlit run around the lake, through a wonderful landscape, where cross-country fans can indulge in their passion even after sun-down.
