The surroundings of Montaione (3000 inhabitants) are marvelous.
Therefore Roberto Benigni used this scenery as a background for his film 'Pinocchio'. Gently sloping hills are varied with woody areas.
The small town is situated rather high, and therefore you have beautiful views from there.
