Peschiera del Garda is about 25 kilometers west of Verona, on the southern shore of Lake Garda.
From Mincio River Peschiera springs, emissary of Lake Garda. Construction of Peschiera fortress surrounded by water has modified the natural course of the river. To allow the City defense, they were arranged three branches out of the lake, which join south of the village.
The city is the starting point of a track bike 40 kilometers long, which links Mantova and follows the river for a good portion of the road, in an area where there is the Mincio Park.
The town has an important railway station on the railway Milan-Venice and, until 1967, was the end of the Mantova-Peschiera track.
Peschiera has an exit on the A4 motorway and is crossed by regional roads (former national) Padana Superiore 11 and 249 Gardesana Orientale.
The port can be reached by boat in several localities bordering Lake Garda.
Peschiera Del Garda | Peschiera del Garda is the westernmost town of the Veneto region of Italy, part of Verona Province of this region. It has a population of about 10,000 inhabitants.
