Rapallo is on the Italian Riviera in the Liguria region of northeast Italy. It's in the Tigullio Gulf between Genoa and the Cinque Terre popular (see map Liguria). Rapallo makes a good base for visiting the rest of the Italian Riviera is well connected by public transport and has a fair number of moderately priced hotels.
Rapallo is the largest in Italian Riviera seaside resort. There is a picturesque castle in the sea, a small harbor and seaside promenade, pedestrian shopping streets in the historic center, and good seafood restaurants. Do not miss the funicular ride up the hill to Montallegro.
Rapallo | Grado is a municipality in the province of Gorizia, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Italy, with a population of 8.611 inhabitants and an area of 111.33 km².
