Reischach - winter idyll at Plan de Corones!

Reischach (956 m) is situated on a sunny high plateau at the foot of Plan de Corones. The resort owes its name to the legendary Rischon Mountain. With its 1,300 inhabitants, the resort doesn't only offer a beautiful panorama over the surrounding mountain area, but is also the ideal place to do winter sports.

Modern lift systems that take you up to 2,275 m in the ski area Plan de Corones start directly on the edge of the resort. The very well prepared pistes and beautiful views make this resort one of the loveliest in the Dolomites. Boarders, carvers and leisurely skiers are offered a first-class experience! Cross-country fans can look forward to approx. 15 km of trails. Ice skating, tobogganing, curling or in the spa paradise "Cron4" offer a large programme of leisure activities away from the slopes.

Ski
The ski area around Plan de Corones (2,275 m), ski mountain number 1 in South Tyrol, offers more than just a little fun on the pistes with the lift pass "Kronplatz". Thanks to the numerous snow-making systems, the ski area is snow-sure from December to April, and 116 km of piste and 31 modern lifts between 935 m and 2,275 m will make sure you will never forget your ski holidays.

The "CroniExpress" with its 8-person gondola is especially suitable for beginners, children and families. Here you can look forward to a piste that 100 m broad and has a difference in altitude of 160 m. All in all, Plan de Corones is known as a very family-friendly ski area with many offers for children. At the top of Plan de Corones you can, for example, find the "Croniworld", in which parents can watch their children's process and enjoy the beautiful 360-degree-panorama in the meantime.

Experienced alpine skiers should try out the steep passages on the two valley runs "Sylvester" and "Herrnegg". There is no ski area other than Plan de Corones that presents itself in such a versatile manner! The area is also known as location for various winter sports events, such as e.g. the snowboard world cup.



The Kronplatz has upgraded last season: the popular Sonnen lift has been replaced, completely renewed and equipped with many new features such as heated seating and protective hoods. Free Wi-Fi is available in the cabins of the Miara lift, and the snowmaking systems have been improved. In the 18/19 season a new gondola in St. Vigil is also on offer. The "Skitrans Bronta" is the shortest 12-seater gondola in the world and connects the valley stations of the "Miara" and "Pedagá" gondolas. The 6-seater lift "Arndt" has also been renewed and now features ergonomic leather seats and a footrest lock.


If you are looking for even more variety, you can book the lift pass extension "Dolomiti Superski" and choose between 1,200 km of piste and 450 lifts!

In the ski area Plan de Corones you have access to Wi-Fi hotspots at many lift pass offices. With the lift pass extension "Dolomiti Superski" you have access to further hotspots at lift stattions and in restaurants in the ski areas.

Apres ski fans will have a hard time making a choice in Reischach. At the Plan de Corones lift valley station, three bars invite you in to linger: "Après-Ski Tenne", "Igloo Bar Gigger" and the lively hot spot "K1". But these aren't the only opportunities to party in Reischach. Further bars and pubs also invite you to party. If that's still not enough, you should definitely head to Bruneck (approx. 2 km), where you will find lots of pubs and bars promising a great time.


Those wanting to spend a day away from the piste and snow have many attractive opportunities in Bruneck. The "Cron4" pool complex promises relaxation and fun. Various pools, saunas and steam rooms, as well as massage jet showers await. Horse-drawn sleigh rides and winter hikes through the snowy landscape are also regularly on offer. Ice skaters will get their money's worth on the natural ice rink!

The "Korer Piste" offers variety for young and old, with its 1.5 km long toboggan run - an experience that you won't forget anytime soon! If you don't want to get off your skis in the evening, you can choose between 4 illuminated night ski slopes where you can ski until 22:00.

Cross-country skiers can enter the generous trail network directly from Reischach. The round course "Sportpark Reischach" comprises 5 km, all in all you have access to 15 km of trails. Another, shorter trail of 0.7 km awaits you at Plan de Corones.

The area offers a total of 226 km of prepared trail, just as many skating trails run parallel. The Valle di Casies trail is the longest at 42 km: here you will find the annual Valle di Casies run, the largest sports event in South Tyrol and a highlight for all cross-country fans. Additionally, the Val Pusteria ski marathon is held here every year in January.

Trails running through an especially lovely landscape can be found in Fanes-Sennes-Prags Nature Park near St. Vigil. Gorgeous high-altitude trails await you at the biathlon centre in Antholz as well as at Peitlerkofel in Valle du Casies.
