La Maddalena is a city in Sardinia, Italy. La Maddalena is the main city and main island of the La Maddalena archipelago. Served as a military post for most Europeans, it has recorded a history, due to easy access to the transportation lanes. These islands are mainly jagged rocks that form steep cliffs and high peaks, with amazing views. It is noted by its clean beaches, there is a special beach because of its pink sand, which can only be admired from a distance, not allowing visitors access, assuming that tourists have bottled the sand and over the years it has disappeared.

La Maddalena Archipelago National Park is a geomarine protected area made up of a group of islands located northeast of the Gallura coast, in the stretch of sea between Sardinia and Corsica, known as Bocche di Bonifacio. These islands - with the exception of La Maddalena Island which are home to the eponymous city and characterized by a significant human presence - are entirely deserted or scattered with small human settlements, as in the Caprera and Santa Maria Islands.
Garibaldi memorial house in Caprera where the famous revolutionary Giuseppe Garibaldi (1807-1882) retired into private life, died and was buried.
