The most important sights are the Cathedral, many churches, many dating from medieval palaces and museums: Palzzo dei Normanni, Palazzo Chiaramonte, Palazzo Abatellis, Museo Archeologico Regional, one of the most important museums, holding the remains
of civilizations during Etruscan, cartagiene, Roman and Greek; theaters: Teatro Massimo (Theater largest) and Teatro Politeama, which also houses the Gallery of Modern Art.
Other places worth visiting: Orto Botanico di Palermo, the largest botanical garden in Italy and the Capuchin Catacombs.
