Alba

Alba (1,517 m), the quieter district of Canazei, is especially well-known for its black extreme run, which descends steeply into the valley. The 3-km long descent with a 658 m difference in altitude proves a challenge for all ambitions ski freaks. Access to the pistes and tracks is made perfect with the cable car, which leaves from Alba and goes directly up to Ciampac (2,100 m).

The traditional village offers its guests numerous paths and trails, which run directly from the valley floor to the mountain peaks. These surround the resort and are a popular destination for hiking enthusiasts. Many bars invite you in to a cosy drink and in the neighbouring resort Canazei there are many further possibilities to find diverse entertainment, e.g. in the Eghe Wellness Centre.

Recommendations for travel Alba

Alba is less known for its copious apres ski than for its family-friendly infrastructure. Lodges on the piste are great meeting points after a days' skiing. Local restaurants and bars attract guests in the evening with regional specialities. The "La Teneta", the "Frogs Pub" or "El Binocol" offer party fans the opportunity to indulge in apres ski. Discos in nearby Canazei are best reached by taxi. Daytime activities for off-piste fun abound: Alba offers a covered ice sports hall, and Val di Fassa offers paragliding, climbing, skittles, kite flying or - if you're looking for a bit of romance - horse sleigh rides and winter hikes through the snowy landscape.
