Padua is a city of nearly 210,000 inhabitants in the Veneto region of northern Italy. Bacchiglione city is situated on the river at the edge of the Po plain, 40 km west of Venice and 29 km south-east of Vicenza.
Padua is also the capital of the province with the same name, is an important economic and cultural center of Italy.
The city's most famous tourist attraction is the Basilica SF.ANTON.
Padua boasts the oldest botanical gardens in Europe, founded in 1545. This objective was included in the UNESCO world cultural heritage list in 1997.
