The Podere il Poggiolo agriturismo is located in the Chianti Rufina district, a famous wine producing area just 23 km NE of central Florence.

Built in a dominant position at 350 m above sea level, our farm is surrounded by the green of the olive groves and vineyards, with breathtaking views over the entire Chianti Rufina valley that feed the soul and provide a real sense of peace.

We produce wine and extra-virgin olive oil, raise Cinta Senese pigs and grow fruit and vegetables too. All are strictly ORGANIC.

Situated just 2.5 km from the town of Rufina where there are shops, supermarkets, banks, churches, a post office, restaurants and a train station. It is only a short journey from town to the heart of Florence whether by car or train.

The local “Chianti Rufina and Pomino Wine Route makes it easy for guest to taste our local wines whilst the similarly named museum explains why this district has such a strong and widespread tradition of wine producing.
Apartments and rooms

The farm has 7 units: 4 two-room apartments, 1 four-room apartment and 2 rooms.

Our apartments and rooms are situated just a few meters away from the swimming pool.
Each has its own entrance, outside space and a panoramic view over the Chianti Rufina valley.

The living quarters have been created out of the old outbuildings attached to the main farmhouse.

Intentionally furnished to echo traditional Tuscan country-style of the past, the resulting atmosphere is truly evocative.

All include all modern comforts such as satellite TV, refrigerator and Wi-Fi internet connection.

Those who love walking will find that the surrounding area is full of evocative trails and paths to follow.

There is free Wi-Fi internet connection available 24 hrs a day throughout the agriturismo, swimming pool included, and a laptop that can be borrowed on request.
