    Riccione

Riccione is a commune in the province of Rimini, Emilia-Romagna, northern Italy. As of 2018, Riccione had an estimated population of 35,003. The origins of Riccione's tourist fame date from the end of the 19th century, stimulated for the most part by the construction of residences by the sick people.

    Recommendations for travel Riccione

Being the main street of Riccione, Viale Ceccarini stretches one kilometer from the Ceccarini Hospital from the center to the Piazzale Roma coast, at its northeastern tip. The Riccione railway divides the two halves of the street. The central part of the city is mostly covered by the banks and businesses of the commercial district, while most of the beach end is just for pedestrians, hosting visitors and beachgoers with a variety of boutiques, restaurants, ice cream parlors and cafes.

The Riccione coast is divided into many different "beach villages". Playa del Sol is one of the largest and many consider it to be the best to enjoy the Adriatic combo of sea, sun and surf. Its coastline is divided into different areas that offer options of sunbeds shaded with sun umbrellas or whole tents (daily rents are from about 25 €). The village on the beach also has a swimming pool with 3 jacuzzis and a restaurant that serves Mediterranean cuisine. For children, there is a beach full of sea shell, as well as a children's club that offers fun and games.

Riccione has several water parks, the most popular water park is Aquafan, which has over a dozen slides and attractions. The slides are ranked on difficulty levels, with the Kamikaze, Fiume Rapido, Twist and Speedriul routes offering the best adrenaline speeds. Of course, there are plenty of easier walks for kids, like Junior Beach with its sandy pool. Full tickets are around 30 euros and admission is free for children under one meter high. Expect long queues at the most popular slides during the summer - just touch the Wave pool, which is no less fun.
