Seis am Schlern is situated at 1,000 m on a high plateau between Kastelruth and Völs, with the jags of the Schlern rise majestically in the background. The tradition-filled tourist resort is a starting point for the newly constructed panorama lift to Seiser
Alm. Due to the perfect connection into the ski area, the resort enjoys wide popularity with winter sports fans; in spite of this, Seis has been able to retain its original character. The idyllic mountain village is distinguished by both of the churches and
three old castle ruins.
Sporty alternatives to skiing include the ice rink and numerous winter hiking trails in the area, as well as numerous cross-country ski tracks. On a carriage ride, covered in blankets, guests can let themselves be enchanted by the Seiser Alm's winter landscape.
