Sulden am Ortler

Sulden is situated at the foot of the Ortler (3,905 m), Southern Tyrols highest mountain. The resort in which mountaineering legend Reinhold Messner found his second home and established a flock of yaks on the alpine pastures welcomes winter sports enthusiasts in a ski area on 1,900 - 3,250 m altitude with guaranteed snow all winter. In Sulden, leisure time fun can not only be had on the slopes: explore the beautiful landscapes of the Stilfserjoch National Park on hikes and romantic horse-drawn carriage rides.

Recommendations for travel Sulden am Ortler

There are plenty of ways to round off your skiing day in Sulden. The ski hut near the valley station, the Cafe Ilse, and the Diskothek Après Club are just a few examples of places to explore. Whoever is looking for good food with Vinschgauer specialities can meet up in places such as Bambi's Pub, Hartmann's Weinstube, or in the Bärenhöhle.
The afternoon, however, can still be quite active, with activities such as a hike through the wondrous, snowy landscape of the Stilfserjoch national park, or a tobogganing party on the 2 km long toboggan run. Pleasure seekers can take a visit to the one of the wellness centres in the area, such as the "Sport Well" in Mals. For the Alpinists, the Messner Mountain Museum Ortles would certainly be of interest.
